Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jupiter Jones Ii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jupiter Jones Ii!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones Ii stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Corleone.
Jones Ii tests Corleone's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Corleone slips a jab from Jones Ii.
Corleone staying out of range there.
Corleone throws a body kick that misses.
A big left from Jones Ii misses.
Corleone throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jones Ii checks a low kick from Corleone.
Jones Ii throws a hook to the side of Corleone's head but Corleone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jones Ii has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Corleone.
Jones Ii lands a nice shot that snaps Corleone's head back.

Corleone will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Jones Ii goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Jones Ii throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jones Ii throws a punch but it's blocked by Corleone.

Jones Ii is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Corleone to keep the fight standing.

The crowd cheers as Jones Ii lands an impressive looking overhand right. Corleone doesn't seem phased though.

Jones Ii misses with an uppercut. Corleone saw that one coming.
Corleone attempts a counter takedown but Jones Ii avoids it well and moves away.

Corleone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jones Ii is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Corleone in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones Ii can do anything to dispel that myth.
Corleone misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Corleone creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jones Ii sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Jones Ii controls the position for a moment.
Jones Ii bucks up and tries to throw Corleone off but instead Corleone has got his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jupiter Jones Ii will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jones Ii misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
As Jones Ii backs away, Corleone returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Corleone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones Ii unleashes a big counter combination but Corleone bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Corleone misses with a body kick.
Corleone throws a nice outside leg kick.
No joy there for Jones Ii, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jones Ii will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Frankie Corleone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corleone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've been hearing that Corleone has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Frankie Corleone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Corleone lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jones Ii is looking to stand up but Corleone isn't so interested in that idea.
Corleone passes Jones Ii's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Corleone connects with a nice short shot to Jones Ii's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
