Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Crumpton!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crumpton rushes Anderson and presses him up against the cage.
Anderson jumps guard but Crumpton stands there with Anderson around his waist. Anderson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Anderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Crumpton smiles and moves away.

Crumpton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Anderson struggling a bit here.
Crumpton slows the pace down.

Crumpton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Anderson to his feet.

Crumpton gets the takedown into side control.
Anderson tries to bench press Crumpton off him but Crumpton keeps the position.

Crumpton has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Crumpton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Anderson wants to get back to full guard.

Crumpton is working for a kimura but Anderson is defending it quite comfortably.
Anderson is trying to maintain the position but Crumpton is very close to passing his half guard.
Crumpton trying to mount his opponent but Anderson defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson is looking for a sweep. Crumpton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Crumpton slips a nice elbow through Anderson's hands, connecting with Anderson's forehead.
Crumpton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Crumpton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Crumpton works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Anderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crumpton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crumpton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Crumpton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Anderson controls Crumpton momentarily but Crumpton frees himself.
Crumpton wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position.
Crumpton stopping the sweep attempt from Anderson.
Anderson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Anderson shoots and misses

and Crumpton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anderson won't be happy with that.

Crumpton goes for an armbar but Anderson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Anderson.

Crumpton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Anderson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Crumpton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Anderson's back instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Crumpton is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Anderson. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Crumpton gets his hands free as Anderson looks to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Crumpton just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Anderson is trying to get back to his feet but Crumpton has full control of the position and if anything, Anderson has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

James Crumpton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, James Crumpton just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Crumpton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Anderson is in trouble now - Crumpton has advanced to mount!
Crumpton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Anderson's face.
Anderson is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gary Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Crumpton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
