The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez lands a nice looking body kick.
Hernandez keeps Pie at a distance using the push kick.
Good leg kick by Hernandez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hernandez throws a leg kick that is checked
and Pie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hernandez is looking to slow Pie down with leg kicks.

Pie walks into a straight right hand from Hernandez.
Pie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hernandez defends it nicely.
Pie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Hernandez feints and then cracks Pie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pie down.
Pie gets a takedown into half guard.
Pie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Pie wants to work for an arm triangle but Hernandez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pie is looking for a kimura but Hernandez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pie to get the leverage.
