Abdullah closes the distance looking to clinch
and Azevedo counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Abdullah!

That was a close round but I would say that Rahkim Abdullah will probably get the nod.

Abdullah shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Azevedo eats them both and turns towards Abdullah to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Thiago Azevedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Abdullah has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Azevedo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Abdullah is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Azevedo pulls down on the head and he's put Abdullah to sleep! This one is all over!
