Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rusev Hungary! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieran Mistry! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mistry misses the shot to the body. Hungary looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Hungary is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hungary takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Rusev Hungary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mistry forces Hungary back against the cage and clinches. Mistry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mistry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Hungary moves forwards but Mistry connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hungary is rocked! Mistry has closed the distance and engaged Hungary in a clinch.
Oh Hungary is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hungary breaks the clinch.
Mistry throws a right and a left that Hungary avoids nicely. Mistry jabs at Hungary's body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hungary walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hungary looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Mistry misses with the combination.

Mistry works over Hungary's head and body with a nice combination. Mistry dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Mistry misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mistry has Hungary up against the cage in a clinch.
Mistry's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Mistry taking a breather. The referee calls for Mistry to work.
Hungary escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mistry uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Mistry misses with a hook. Hungary ducked under it nicely. As Mistry looks to move away, Hungary throws a big counter combo but Mistry just gets out of the way. Hungary takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mistry connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hungary takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Mistry clinches up with Hungary and pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hungary's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mistry throws a right and a left that both miss. Mistry throws a jab but it's blocked by Hungary. Hungary will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hungary moves away from the strike by Mistry. Hungary throws a big counter combination but Mistry scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Hungary fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mistry let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Mistry lands a nice shot that snaps Hungary's head back.
Hungary blocks a jab. Mistry gets a clinch. Mistry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hungary looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mistry is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Hungary like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Hungary from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kieran Mistry!
