Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hilario Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Kozich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hilario Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jan Kozich! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen tries to clinch there but Kozich circles away.

Kozich gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kozich gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Allen.
Allen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kozich avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kozich has clasped his hands together around Allen's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Allen takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen is looking to reverse the position. Kozich staying calm. Allen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen is working hard here to advance position. Kozich is looking to take a break and control but Allen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Allen defending against the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Allen can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The ground and pound from Kozich seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kozich tries for a kimura but Allen is defending well. Allen regains half guard. Allen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Allen is positioning himself well to prevent Kozich advancing to mount. Allen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kozich. Kozich is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen desperately trying to maintain half guard. Kozich sitting and controlling from the half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Allen keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Allen rushes Kozich and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kozich has picked Allen up - he's going for a ride! Kozich dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Kozich keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Allen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kozich. Allen wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Allen trying to control from the bottom.
Kozich looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jan Kozich dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Allen throws a head kick that misses. Kozich doesn't manage to clinch there - Allen circles away.
Allen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kozich! But no joy. Allen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kozich scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kozich moves into the clinch. Allen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kozich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A punch combination from Kozich misses. Allen circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Allen tries to clinch up but Kozich circles away and keeps his distance. Allen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kozich gets a clinch. Kozich throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Allens head. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Kozich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hilario Allen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kozich paws at him with a jab and circles away. Allen is looking to clinch. Kozich misses with a combination
and Allen counters with a one-two to the body. Kozich doesn't manage to clinch there - Allen circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozich throws a nice looking combination but Allen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. It looked like Allen was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Allen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jan Kozich has got the better of the ground game so far. Allen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kozich pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Allen is keeping the position for now. Allen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kozich is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Allen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kozich throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kozich trying to control but Allen is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Allen wants to sweep here but Kozich controlling him for the moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Allen is looking to clinch. Kozich shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Allen's guard. Allen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kozich. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kozich is looking to stand up but Allen won't let him. Allen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jan Kozich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Kozich shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Allen napping and manages to drive through into side control! Allen tries to bench press Kozich off him but Kozich keeps the position. Allen is not content to let Kozich control the position. Kozich working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Allen tries to bench press Kozich off him but Kozich keeps the position. Kozich tries to move into full mount but can't pass Allen's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen can't do much from the bottom here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kozich scoring with punches and elbows. Kozich has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Allen takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kozich has an Americana. Allen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kozich is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kozich hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
