Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darren Myles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myles comes to the cage accompanied by Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darren Myles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Rogers! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myles throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Myles scores with a three punch combo!
Rogers shoots in for a takedown but Myles shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Darren Myles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Myles loads up on a big right hand but Rogers slips the punch. Myles lands with a nice combination. Rogers backs away looking to recover. Sloppy strikes from Myles. Those never looked like landing. Rogers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Myles is trying to defend but Rogers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rogers is looking to stall here but Myles recovers full guard. Rogers drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Myles manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rogers has Myles in his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Myles throws a right and a left that both miss. Myles throws a nice looking combination but Rogers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Myles throws a big shot that misses. Rogers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Myles sprawls well initially but Rogers persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rogers wants to take a breather but Myles is having none of it. Rogers is working for a submission of some sort.
Rogers is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Myles still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Myles has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Rogers manages to work his way to half guard, despite Myles's best efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Myles is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Rogers wants to improve his position but Myles is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogers is trying to control but Myles passes into side control!
Myles decides to stand back up. Myles steps back and let's Rogers get back to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Myles falls off balance throwing a combination

Myles tries to kick Rogers off but Rogers keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rogers is trying to work for a kimura but Myles is defending well.

Rogers wants to pass to mount but Myles is defending the position. Rogers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rogers is just content to waste time from the top position. Myles takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Myles tries to bum rush Rogers with a series of wild strikes but Rogers uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice takedown defense from Myles. No joy for Rogers on that attempt. Rogers takes one to the side of the head.

Myles slaps away a takedown attempt from Rogers, before circling back to the center of the mat. Myles throws a big counter combination but Rogers scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers wants to control from the top but Myles keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Myles wants to get back to his feet but Rogers drags him back down. Rogers trying to control the position but Myles is working away. Rogers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Myles, who protects the arm well. Rogers goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Myles rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rogers's guard! Nice work there by Myles!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Myles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Myles decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rogers, up you get! Myles moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Rogers shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Myles napping and manages to drive through into side control! Myles bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rogers closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rogers is trying to work for a kimura but Myles is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rogers is looking for submissions but instead, Myles has regained full guard.
Rogers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Myles works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rogers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Myles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rogers prevents Myles from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rogers is looking to pass into half guard but Myles pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Myles is in guard. Myles trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rogers's guard. Rogers controls Myles momentarily but Myles frees himself. Rogers is working an open guard so Myles takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. We've been told by Myles's head coaches at Academy of Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Myles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Darren Myles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Rogers. Rogers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Myles swivels and escapes. Myles's corner calls for a 1-2. Myles obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Rogers looking to score a takedown here. Myles is defending well but Rogers drives through and ends up in Myles's guard. Myles is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rogers is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rogers gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Myles. Rogers dives in and grabs Myles's left leg, looking for a takedown. Myles pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out. Myles fails to land with a series of punches.
Myles throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. And Rogers tries to counter it with a takedown but Myles pushes his down on his head and steps out. A punch combination from Myles misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rogers. Myles throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rogers shoots in looking for a takedown. Myles tries to sprawl out of it but Rogers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Myles manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rogers. Darren Myles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Rogers.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myles stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Myles wants it to stay on the feet. Myles misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rogers.

Myles wants to stand and escape but instead Rogers has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

and Rogers decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Myles's guard. Myles wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rogers manages to pass to side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rogers is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Myles reverses the position - he's now on top in Rogers's guard. Myles wants to get up but he can't break Rogers's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Myles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rogers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Myles has managed to get both his arms back between Rogers's legs - danger averted. Sam Rogers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Myles stands up and waves to Rogers to follow him.
And that's the end of the fight! Darren Myles showed his dominance in that final round. Well Myles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
