Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parke closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Parke lands in his opponent's guard.
Parke trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Marsh manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Marsh content to stall in guard here.
Parke pulls Marsh in close to his closed guard and prevents Marsh from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parke trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Marsh showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marsh is looking to work some ground and pound but Parke has wrist control.
Marsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Parke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Marsh stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Parke rushes Marsh and presses him up against the cage.
Parke keeps control of Marsh as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Parke gets underhooks to prevent Marsh's takedown attempt.

Parke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Marsh doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Parke counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Jake Marsh has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Parke darts in and clinches Marsh up against the cage.

Parke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Parke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Parke clinches with his opponent.
Marsh prevents Parke from breaking the clinch.
Marsh can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Marsh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parke avoiding damage as Marsh throws knees to the body.

Parke's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Parke has cracked Marsh with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Parke lands another huge swinging hook and Marsh tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Marsh, before Parke can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Norman Parke!
