Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Isaac Blackwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Butler!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Butler.

Butler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Butler stays in close to Blackwell's body and controls the position.
Blackwell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Butler wants to pass the guard but Blackwell is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blackwell can't keep his opponent in guard - Butler advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Butler is working for a kimura here but Blackwell manages to reverse the position and he's now in Butler's guard.

Butler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Butler is pulling down on Blackwell's head. It's preventing any offense from Blackwell, at least for the moment.

Butler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blackwell defends well.

Butler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Butler will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Butler is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Blackwell won't allow Butler to sweep him here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Butler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blackwell's guard.

Butler lands a couple of digs.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Butler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Blackwell throws a right hand that Butler ducks under and follows up with a left that Butler also avoids with ease.
Butler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blackwell defends it nicely.
Blackwell tries to counter by clinching up but Butler breaks away and moves out of range.

Butler closes the distance and pushes Blackwell back into the cage.

Blackwell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Butler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Butler wants to sweep here but Blackwell controlling him for the moment.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Butler holds on and takes a little breather.
Blackwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Butler on the ground.
Blackwell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Butler works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Blackwell stops Butler from standing up.
Blackwell throws a strike but Butler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Blackwell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Butler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Butler tries to move to mount but Blackwell blocks the move with his legs.
Blackwell is trying to get back to half guard.
Butler staying calm.
Blackwell is trying to control Butler's posture but Butler avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Butler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Butler stands up and beckons Blackwell to his feet.

Butler moves into the clinch successfully.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Blackwell tries to break the clinch but Butler is controlling the position.

Butler jumps guard and drags Blackwell to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blackwell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Butler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Butler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Butler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!


Blackwell is rocked!

Oh Blackwell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Butler goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Blackwell has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Butler but great work by Blackwell.

Butler pushes a forearm under Blackwell's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Blackwell is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jordan Butler!
