Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes into the arena with For Whom The Bell Tolls blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
37 - 40 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyoto Machida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 32 - 4, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Machida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Macintosh tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Macintosh working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Macintosh works to advance to full mount. Machida defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. BOOM! Macintosh connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macintosh lands a nice shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Macintosh swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Machida is now in Macintosh's guard. A big mistake from Macintosh there, giving up the dominant position! Machida would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bud Macintosh has got the better of the ground game so far. Macintosh is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Machida frees his head nicely. Oh but Macintosh has switched to an armbar! Machida is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
