Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Gary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Briggs has chosen "Axeman" By tomandandy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenneth Gary! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julius Briggs! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gary misses with a takedown and Briggs counters by clinching up. Briggs looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Briggs lands a nice knee to the body. Briggs goes for a takedown attempt but Gary pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gary fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kenneth Gary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gary throws a head kick but Briggs moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gary tries to clinch up but Briggs circles away and keeps his distance. Briggs tries to counter with a clinch but Gary shakes him off and moves away. Gary dives in and grabs Briggs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Briggs pushes down on Gary's head and hops out. Briggs changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenneth Gary. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gary walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Briggs checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Briggs steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Gary.
That's one minute gone in the round. Briggs defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gary. Gary pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Despite the aggression on Briggs's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Gary shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Briggs missing with punches from the bottom.
Gary is just content to waste time from the top position. Briggs takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gary drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Briggs dives on top into guard. Briggs working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Briggs advances position into side control! Briggs controlling the position from side mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gary tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Briggs easily slips into full mount! Gary is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Gary is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Briggs sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gary really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Briggs is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gary to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gary shrugs it off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gary is working to get back to half guard.

Julius Briggs dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Briggs throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gary's head. Briggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gary. Briggs changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Gary throws a head kick that misses. Briggs with the counter takedown but Gary avoids it easily. Gary shoots in for a takedown but Briggs shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gary tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Briggs paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gary tries to clinch but Briggs moves away and Briggs counters with a head kick. That will keep Gary thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Kenneth Gary is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Briggs is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gary sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gary connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Briggs has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Briggs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gary shoots in and drives through. Briggs sprawls well. Briggs is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenneth Gary. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gary is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Briggs tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Gary tries to close the distance and clinch up but Briggs swats him away and circles back towards the center. Briggs is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Gary could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Briggs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Briggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gary tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Briggs manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gary. Briggs changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Briggs clinches. Gary gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Briggs.
Briggs is trying to break the clinch but Gary has him pressed against the cage. Gary lands a knee to the head.

Briggs takes a shot to the head. Gary looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Briggs breaks from the clinch.
Gary fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Briggs avoids it really well and circles away. Briggs with the counter takedown but Gary avoids it easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gary fails in his attempt to clinch. Briggs swats away the attempt to clinch by Gary. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julius Briggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Briggs is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenneth Gary. That's going to take a lot out of him. Briggs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Briggs misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gary is looking to clinch but Briggs is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gary shoots and misses and Briggs counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Briggs. Briggs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gary is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Gary changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Briggs fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gary tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Briggs manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gary tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Briggs counters with a two punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gary is defended easily by Briggs. Briggs feints the counter takedown. Gary misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Briggs changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Briggs shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gary might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gary trying to control but Briggs postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Julius Briggs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Briggs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
