PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mish Pocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mish Pocha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eddie Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pocha stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pocha wants it to stay on the feet.
Pocha drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bravo sprawls and moves away.
A swing and a miss from Pocha.
Bravo dives in and grabs Pocha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pocha pushes down on Bravo's head and hops out.

Pocha shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bravo controls Pocha momentarily but Pocha frees himself.

Bravo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pocha doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pocha manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pocha can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bravo is looking to escape.

Bravo darts in looking for a takedown but Pocha gets double underhooks and turns Bravo into the cage.

Bravo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pocha fights it off and pushes away nicely.
