Tate in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. McGirt tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Tate!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Miesha Tate! A very excited looking Miesha Tate made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Dirt McGirt spoke after the fight, saying 'I went and bought me an outfit today that costed a lot of money today, you know what I mean? ‘Cause I figured that I was gonna win. I don’t know how you all see it, but when it comes to the children, Ol' Dirty is for the children. We teach the children. You know what I mean?'.
