Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between The Cat Matroskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matroskin comes to the cage accompanied by Мама, всё о'ке&. Munoz has chosen Lil Wayne ft Drake - Right above it as his entrance music. Jackson Munoz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, The Cat Matroskin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Munoz will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Munoz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Matroskin is looking to counter the offense by Munoz and move into the clinch.
Matroskin tries to clinch up.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Munoz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Munoz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Munoz throws a series of punches but Matroskin avoids them all with ease.
Some bone on bone action there as Matroskin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Munoz moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like The Cat Matroskin has been cut.
Munoz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Matroskin tries to counter with a takedown but Munoz is quick to defend against it.
Munoz throws a right hand that Matroskin ducks under and follows up with a left that Matroskin also avoids with ease.
As Munoz tries to get set, Matroskin tries to push him back and clinch up but Munoz manages to avoid the attempt.
Munoz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Matroskin moves into the clinch.
Munoz is trying to drag Matroskin to the mat but Matroskin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
With the fighters up against the cage, Matroskin throws an elbow but misses.

Munoz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Matroskin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Matroskin misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Matroskin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Matroskin missing with a left hand there. Munoz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jackson Munoz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Matroskin is defended easily by Munoz.

Matroskin throws a hook but Munoz avoids it easily.

Munoz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Matroskin eats them both and turns towards Munoz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Munoz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Munoz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Matroskin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Munoz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Matroskin changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Munoz misses with a double jab

and Matroskin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Munoz manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Matroskin keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Matroskin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Munoz backwards.
Matroskin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Matroskin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Munoz thows a leg kick but Matroskin checks it

and Matroskin moves into the clinch.

Matroskin pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matroskin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Matroskin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Munoz manages to get himself to full guard.

Matroskin throws a big elbow that misses.
Matroskin lands a couple of digs.
Munoz wants to stand up but Matroskin is controlling him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Munoz can do anything to dispel that myth.
Matroskin wants to control from the top but Munoz keeps moving.
Matroskin wants to pass the guard but Munoz is keeping the position.
Munoz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Matroskin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Munoz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson Munoz dominated that round.
The cut man is working on The Cat Matroskin's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Matroskin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Matroskin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Some wild striking there from Munoz.
Matroskin scores with a sloppy right hand. Munoz should have avoided that one.
Munoz swinging wildly here.
Matroskin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Munoz sprawls and moves away.

Matroskin closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Matroskin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Munoz throws a low kick but Matroskin moves out of range easily.

Matroskin rushes Munoz and presses him up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Matroskin fails to land.

Matroskin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Munoz wants to control from the top but Matroskin keeps moving.
Matroskin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Matroskin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Munoz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Matroskin has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Munoz doesn't defend quickly enough and Matroskin has managed to lock this one up! Can Munoz escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Matroskin on a fantastic submission victory.

A less than humble The Cat Matroskin misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
