The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vicious misses with a kick to the body

and Binay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vicious won't be happy with that.

Binay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Binay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Binay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Binay is trying to get an arm triangle but Vicious is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vicious is looking for a sweep.

Binay has hold of Vicious's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Vicious tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Binay cranks the arm and Vicious screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Vicious, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

After the fight, Rudy Mar Binay was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
