Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Julius Perkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezekiel Ottey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ezekiel Ottey acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Julius Perkman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ezekiel Ottey! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ottey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Perkman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Perkman drives through with a takedown into guard. Perkman stands up over Ottey, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ottey working for a triangle but Perkman defends it easily.
Perkman's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ottey should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ottey looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Perkman has picked Ottey up and slammed him! Ottey can't keep hold of the triangle and Perkman manages to pass to side control! Ottey tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Perkman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Perkman cracks Ottey with a big right hand but Ottey just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ottey is trying to work for a sweep but Perkman has mounted him! Perkman wants to finish this one by submission but Ottey is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Perkman. Perkman controlling from mount. Ottey can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ottey tries to reverse the position but Perkman maintains control. Perkman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ottey tries to reverse the position but Perkman maintains control. Perkman controlling the pace for now. That's two minutes gone in the round. Perkman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ottey's half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ottey manages to get to full guard.

It seemed like Ottey was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Perkman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ottey. Perkman misses with a right hand and Ottey counters with a nice body shot. Perkman takes a jab right on the kisser.
Perkman misses with a looping right. A momentary lapse in concentration from Ottey enables Perkman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ottey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ottey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perkman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perkman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Perkman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ottey throws his legs up looking for a submission but Perkman uses it to pass to side control.

Perkman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ottey looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perkman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Perkman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perkman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ottey swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perkman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ottey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Perkman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Perkman stands and throws Ottey's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ottey prevents Perkman from improving position. Ottey is trying to improve his position. Perkman content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Perkman lands some shots froms side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ottey tries to improve position but can't. Ottey looks to move to half guard but instead Perkman has passed into mount! Damn! Ottey working to try and regain half guard.
Perkman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Perkman controlling from mount. Ottey is desperately trying to improve his position but Perkman has a good base and remains in mount. Ottey is bucking up trying to escape but Perkman cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Perkman controlling his opponent. Perkman is standing up, even though he is in mount. Perkman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ottey to the ground. Perkman is now in Ottey's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ottey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perkman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ottey is breathing heavily. Ottey can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Perkman controls the pace. Perkman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Perkman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Perkman stays in close to Ottey's body and controls the position. Ottey is looking for a triangle here but Perkman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ottey is looking to regain half guard here but Perkman keeps moving and retains side control. Perkman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ottey is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Perkman in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Julius Perkman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ottey is looking for a sweep. Perkman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ottey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Perkman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ottey to see if he's OK. Perkman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ottey can do to turn this around? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ottey tries to improve position but can't. Perkman landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Perkman content to control rather than advance.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ottey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Perkman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Perkman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Perkman seems to be working for a kimura but Ottey defends the submission attempt. Ottey has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Perkman. Oh but Ottey has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Perkman goes limp - he's gone! Ottey jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
