Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Iker Dedal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Crose McCringe!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCringe throws a series of punches but Dedal avoids them all with ease.
Dedal definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

McCringe shoots in and bounces Dedal off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
McCringe wants to control from the top but Dedal keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McCringe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McCringe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
McCringe trying to control but Dedal is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCringe forces his way into half guard.
McCringe passes to side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McCringe looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dedal is avoiding damage well.
Dedal is breathing heavily.
McCringe in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
McCringe misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Dedal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dedal tries to get out of the position.
McCringe trying to control the action but Dedal is working from the bottom.

McCringe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

McCringe looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

McCringe is working to tighten his grip on Dedal's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dedal has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McCringe is really squeezing tight and eventually Dedal passes out! McCringe breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Crose McCringe!
Crose McCringe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
