Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Lawal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawal comes to the cage accompanied by Beds Are Burning. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Solomon Lawal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Ford! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ford throws a big shot that misses. Lawal avoids the head kick by Ford.
Lawal uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ford. Lawal just misses with a punch to the body.
Lawal jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lawal bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ford's head. Lawal keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ford. Lawal swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ford misses with a low kick.
Lawal looks to land a right hand but Ford moved out of range. Ford wants to counter the offense by Lawal and move into the clinch position. Lawal takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ford feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lawal's calf. Ford looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Ford swings widly with a right hand
and Lawal counters with a nice uppercut. Ford loads up on a big right hand but Lawal slips the punch. Ford misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ford connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ford ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lawal moves away. Lawal swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ford. Lawal misses with a straight left. Lawal ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lawal swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ford throws a head kick that Lawal semi-blocks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawal wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Lawal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ford paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ford misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ford throws the kick towards the body but Lawal avoids it. Lawal works Ford's body with a nice hook. Ford lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Lawal scores with a jab to the body. Ford misses the shot to the body. Ford wants to clinch. Ford misses with a body shot
and Lawal counters with a nice uppercut. Lawal just misses with a punch to the body.
Ford tries to close the distance and clinch but Lawal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lawal is looking to counter punch. Ford takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ford throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Lawal does no damage. Lawal sets himself, and Ford steps forward looking for the clinch! Lawal avoids it this time. Rob Ford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ford scores with a jab to the body. Ford ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ford moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ford closes the distance and clinches. Ford told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Lawal landing knees to the head.
Lawal tries a knee to the head but Ford blocks it.
Ford lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Ford throws an elbow but it misses.
Lawal lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Ford misses with a hook to the ribs.
A short left from Lawal. Lawal dodges an elbow strike from Ford.
Lawal can't find room to land a body shot as Ford controls the action.
Lawal misses with a knee strike.
Ford has a couple of punches blocked by Lawal.
Lawal with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Our sources have told us that Lawal has been working on his elbows in the gym. Ford lands with a right to the head. Ford misses with the head strike.
Lawal dodges an elbow strike from Ford.
Ford lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Lawal is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ford working some nice short punches in the clinch. Oh Lawal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lawal blocks an elbow strike. Lawal avoids the elbow strike from Ford, against the cage.
Ford throws an elbow that misses.
Ford unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Lawal! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Ford is unloading with more strikes now! Lawal drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Ford! A relieved looking Rob Ford thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
