The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLarnin stalks Jeferson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jeferson's face. Jeferson staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Alex Jeferson has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Jeferson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
McLarnin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Jeferson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Jeferson goes for a takedown in the clinch but McLarnin prevents it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McLarnin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McLarnin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McLarnin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jeferson misses with a takedown
and McLarnin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McLarnin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jeferson is rocked!
McLarnin connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Jeferson out cold! This one is over in a flash!
