Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abe Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lace Troyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lace Troyer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abe Roach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lace Troyer! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roach is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Roach could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Troyer looking to score a takedown here. Roach is defending well but Troyer drives through and ends up in Roach's guard. Roach working a defensive guard but Troyer manages to pass into side control anyway.
Troyer advances to full mount. Roach tries to hold on but Troyer pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roach is trying desperately to improve position. Troyer scoring with strikes but Roach is staying in there.
It looks like Abe Roach has been cut. Troyer looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roach bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Troyer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Roach would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Roach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Roach lands a couple of elbows. Roach wants to get up but he can't break Troyer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Troyer wants to stand but Roach is controlling the position. Roach is working Troyer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Troyer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Roach is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Roach wanted to stand there but Troyer had control of the position. Roach throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Roach makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Roach wanted to stand there but Troyer had control of the position. Roach wants to stand and escape but instead Troyer has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Troyer working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Roach trying to keep a closed guard but Troyer is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Roach keeping full guard, as Troyer tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roach wants to sweep here but Troyer controlling him for the moment. Troyer works a leg free and moves into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Troyer in particular looking to stall. Roach looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Troyer is taking a breather. Roach says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Troyer working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Troyer is looking for a kimura but Roach is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Troyer to get the leverage. Troyer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Troyer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Troyer wants to take a breather but Roach is having none of it. Troyer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Roach is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Troyer is trying to control the action in half guard but Roach is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lace Troyer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Abe Roach's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Roach turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Troyer is looking to regain half guard here but Roach keeps moving and retains side control. Troyer is trying to control Roach's posture but Roach avoids it. Troyer tries to get back to half guard but can't. Roach is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Troyer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Roach tries for a kimura but Troyer is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Troyer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roach goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Troyer rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Roach's guard! Nice work there by Troyer! Roach looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Troyer passes into side control.
A control attempt from Roach but he's now mounted! Troyer tries to control but Roach wriggling away. Roach is desperately trying to improve his position but Troyer has a good base and remains in mount. Troyer wants to get back to his feet but Roach is holding on tight.
Roach is squirming around, avoiding Troyer's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Troyer has hold of Roach's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Roach manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Roach wants to hold on but Troyer pushes him away. Troyer looking to control and managing it successfully. Roach tries to lock up and control but Troyer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Troyer raining down shots from the mount! Troyer looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Troyer trying to control but Roach is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Troyer working for a submission but Roach is keeping him at bay. Troyer wants to get back to his feet but Roach is holding on tight.
Troyer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Troyer prevents Roach from getting the reversal. Troyer controlling from the full mount. Troyer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Roach can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Troyer trying to control but he's not successful this time. Roach is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Roach is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Troyer working for a submission but Roach is keeping him at bay. Troyer tries to control but Roach wriggling away. Roach tries to reverse the position but Troyer maintains control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Troyer wants to finish this one by submission but Roach is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Troyer. Roach is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lace Troyer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Abe Roach's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Troyer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Roach's guard. Roach looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lace Troyer has got the better of the ground game so far. Roach can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Troyer controls the pace. Troyer won't allow Roach to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roach is pulling down on Troyer's head to control his posture. Roach looking to hit a scissor sweep but Troyer is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roach is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Troyer working some strikes from top position. Troyer sitting in guard here, content to control. Roach is trying to control the position but Troyer postures up. Roach keeping moving, preventing Troyer from controlling successfully. Roach wants to sweep but no luck. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Troyer tries to stand but Roach is controlling from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Troyer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Troyer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Roach misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Troyer looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Troyer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Roach is looking for a sweep. Roach prevents Troyer from improving position. Troyer wants to control but Roach is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Troyer controls the position from side control. Troyer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Roach has escaped the position, nice work there. Troyer takes a little break here. Roach wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Let's hope that Troyer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Roach is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Troyer trying to control the action but Roach is working from the bottom. Roach can't do much from the bottom here. Troyer just content to control the position. Roach prevents Troyer from moving into mount. Roach is trying to control Troyer's posture but Troyer avoids it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Roach moves in looking to clinch but Troyer pushes him off. Despite the aggression on Troyer's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
And that's the end of the fight! Lace Troyer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Troyer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
