Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Mcfadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliff Leavitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leavitt has chosen Scotland The Brave as his entrance music. Cliff Leavitt looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stuart Mcfadden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cliff Leavitt!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Mcfadden lands but Leavitt takes it in his stride.
Leavitt looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mcfadden throws a head kick that misses
and Leavitt counters with a two punch combo.
Mcfadden connects with a nice looking jab.
Leavitt fails to land the takedown.
Mcfadden is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Leavitt.
Mcfadden cracks the inside of Leavitt's front leg.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Leavitt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mcfadden smiles and moves away.
Cliff Leavitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcfadden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mcfadden takes the fight into the clinch.

Mcfadden pulls guard successfully.

Mcfadden has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Leavitt off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Leavitt avoids the head kick by Mcfadden.
Mcfadden throws a head kick but Leavitt moves out of range.
Leavitt rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mcfadden counters with a left and a right that stings Leavitt.
Leavitt ducks right into an uppercut from Mcfadden.

Mcfadden has taken the fight to the clinch.

Leavitt is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mcfadden is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Leavitt to the mat. Leavitt regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Mcfadden really is a fat lump.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mcfadden postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Our spies down at at V C L training center (HOME OF THE TRUE CHAMPION inform us that Leavitt has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Mcfadden decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Leavitt, up you get!

Mcfadden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Leavitt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Stuart Mcfadden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mcfadden throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Mcfadden slaps away a takedown attempt from Leavitt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stuart Mcfadden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cliff Leavitt.

A left and a right from Mcfadden both land. Nice combination.
Mcfadden throws a head kick but Leavitt moves out of range.
Mcfadden leaves Leavitt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mcfadden tries to clinch up but Leavitt circles away and keeps his distance.

Mcfadden has Leavitt up against the cage in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leavitt has Mcfadden pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mcfadden manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mcfadden successfully pulls guard.
Leavitt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Leavitt throws a big right hand that misses.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Mcfadden is looking to slow Leavitt down with leg kicks.

Leavitt is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcfadden gets control of Leavitt's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcfadden will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Leavitt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Leavitt is working an open guard so Mcfadden takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Leavitt has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mcfadden.
Mcfadden feints and then cracks Leavitt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Leavitt down.
Mcfadden lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mcfadden throws a sloppy head kick and Leavitt moves out of range easily.
Mcfadden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Leavitt can do to turn this around?

Mcfadden is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Leavitt takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Mcfadden dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Leavitt. That did some damage!

Despite the aggression on Leavitt's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Mcfadden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leavitt paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mcfadden stuffs the takedown attempt from Leavitt. Leavitt gets slowly back to his feet.
Stuart Mcfadden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cliff Leavitt.

Leavitt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Leavitt throws an elbow that misses. Mcfadden uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Leavitt's guard. Nice move by Mcfadden!

Leavitt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mcfadden lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mcfadden postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mcfadden lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mcfadden is working Leavitt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mcfadden lands a couple of digs.
Leavitt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcfadden. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mcfadden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mcfadden might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Leavitt has momentary wrist control but Mcfadden slips an elbow through the middle.
Mcfadden is looking to work some ground and pound but Leavitt has wrist control.

Mcfadden decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Mcfadden connects with a good right hand that stumbles Leavitt. Leavitt circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A head kick by Leavitt misses
and Mcfadden counters with a slapping leg kick.

Leavitt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mcfadden has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Leavitt should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mcfadden has tightened it up now! Leavitt should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
