Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aznar Thrul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hale has chosen Dead Sara - Weatherman as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aznar Thrul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Hale! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thrul looks to throw the jab but Hale is out of range. Hale takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hale with a hook. Thrul wants to slow Hale down by chopping away at his legs. Hale misses with a leg kick. Thrul half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Thrul throws a hook but Hale avoids it easily. Thrul takes a shot right to the bread basket. Thrul gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Thrul is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Thrul manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hale manages to get himself to full guard.
Thrul lands a couple of decent looking shots. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thrul avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thrul sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hale looking for a sweep. Not yet Hale, not yet. Thrul throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hale works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Thrul is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hale is adopting a defensive guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Thrul postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Thrul wants to pass the guard but Hale is keeping the position. Hale has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thrul trying to control the position from guard on top but Hale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thrul has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Thrul cracks Hale with a solid left hand. Thrul controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hale utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Thrul will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Thrul wants to control from the top but Hale keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hale fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hale changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thrul tries to avoid it but Hale manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thrul to the ground. Thrul escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice defenses there by Thrul. Hale fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thrul manages to avoid it. Hale tries to land a leg kick but Thrul saw it coming and moves away.
Thrul throws a body shot but no joy. Hale throws a looping overhand right but Thrul ducks down to avoid it. Thrul throwing a counter right hand but Hale manages to avoid it. Thrul slips under a jab from Hale. Thrul fails in his attempt to clinch. Hale leaves Thrul with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hale drives through with a takedown into Thrul's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hale pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thrul is keeping the position for now. Thrul keeping moving, preventing Hale from controlling successfully. Hale preventing the sweep. Thrul has his foot on Hale's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hale works his way back into a safe position though. Thrul manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hale manages to get himself to full guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Thrul drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hale looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hale looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hale! You can see the frustration on Thrul's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hale gets to mount! Thrul was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Hale connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Thrul working to try and regain half guard.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Hale prevents Thrul from getting the reversal. Thrul is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Thrul tries to improve his position but instead Hale has taken his back! Hale has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Thrul.
It looks like Aznar Thrul has been cut. Hale looking for the choke from the back. Hale looking for the choke from the back. The referee is taking a good look at Thrul as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Hale!

Hale wants to control from the top but Thrul keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Hale comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hale has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Brandon Hale! After the fight, Brandon Hale was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
