Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly misses with a takedown attempt - Shovkovskyj sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shovkovskyj appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Kelly fails with the takedown
and Shovkovskyj counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kelly won't be happy with that.
Shovkovskyj is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kelly knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

It looks like Kyle Kelly has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shovkovskyj has an Americana. Kelly didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shovkovskyj is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shovkovskyj hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

After winning the bout, Valentin Shovkovskyj thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
