PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beaumont McHale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frontier Justice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McHale comes to the cage accompanied by Half of Fame . Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beaumont McHale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frontier Justice!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Justice swings for the body but McHale moves out of range.
McHale missing with a left hand there. Justice was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Justice gets a double leg takedown into McHale's guard.
McHale looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Justice distracts McHale with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
McHale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Justice has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McHale preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
McHale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Justice on the ground.

McHale wants to hit a switch here but Justice passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McHale there!
McHale on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McHale tries to get out of the position.
Justice lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
McHale tries to hold on but Justice postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Justice takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McHale is desperately trying to improve his position but Justice has a good base and remains in mount.
McHale wants to control but Justice is having none of it.
Justice in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
McHale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Justice cracks McHale with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Justice with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Justice lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Justice goes for a double leg but McHale avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McHale continues to drive forward.
McHale throws a big counter combination but Justice scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Justice shoots in looking for a takedown. McHale tries to sprawl out of it but Justice keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McHale manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Justice looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McHale is fending him off so far but Justice persists. Nope, McHale circles away and we're back to standing.
Beaumont McHale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frontier Justice.

Justice shoots in looking for a takedown but McHale manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Justice's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Justice counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Justice has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Frontier Justice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Justice looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McHale is fending him off so far but Justice persists. Nope, McHale circles away and we're back to standing.
As Justice looks to move away, McHale throws a big counter combo but Justice just gets out of the way.

Justice jumps guard but McHale stands there with Justice around his waist. Justice gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Justice - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Justice is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Justice has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McHale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Justice connects with a nice short shot to McHale's temple.

McHale stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McHale wants it to stay on the feet.
Justice throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McHale's waist but McHale gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Justice off to one side.
Justice tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McHale paws at him with a jab and circles away.
