Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Eremenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago comes to the cage accompanied by Russian Anthem. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Eremenko! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eremenko misses with a series of wild punches.
Eremenko looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Drago closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Drago lands in his opponent's guard. Drago is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Drago passes easily into side control. Nice work. Eremenko is looking to regain half guard here but Drago keeps moving and retains side control. Drago stands up.

Drago drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Drago content to stall in guard here. Drago seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Eremenko for as long as he can get away with. Drago preventing the sweep. Drago is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Drago's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Eremenko is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Drago controls the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Drago dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Drago throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Eremenko. Eremenko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Eremenko was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Drago is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Eremenko preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Drago. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Eremenko misses with a double jab.

Eremenko is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Drago is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Drago moves to the back position. Eremenko is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Drago has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Eremenko has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
You can see the frustration on Eremenko's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Eremenko is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Drago pulls his head out easily. Drago wants to take a breather but Eremenko is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Drago with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Andrey Eremenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
