Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fyodor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnar Vedhult (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vedhult has chosen Swedish army orchestra - Beneath our banner as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vedhult moves into range and clinches up with Emelianenko.
Vedhult lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Emelianenko tries to score a body lock takedown but Vedhult shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Vedhult gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Emelianenko.

Vedhult remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
I looks like Vedhult might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Well Vedhult has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
