Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luis Cardoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Joshua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardoza comes into the arena with Holy See blaring out of the sound system. Joshua comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Parklife- Blur kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Daniel Joshua has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luis Cardoza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Joshua! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joshua lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cardoza's sensitive parts. Cardoza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Joshua tries a quick counter leg kick but Cardoza is wise to it. Luis Cardoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cardoza shoots for a takedown but Joshua saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown attempt by Cardoza or perhaps it was just good defense by Joshua, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Cardoza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cardoza has his takedown stuffed and Joshua connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Luis Cardoza has been cut. Cardoza is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cardoza clinches up against the cage. Cardoza blocks an uppercut.
Cardoza on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Cardoza. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joshua misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Joshua goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cardoza is trying to pull guard but Joshua has him pressed against the cage. Joshua lands a left hand.
Joshua scores with a hook to the body. Joshua gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cardoza.

That's one minute gone in the round. Joshua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cardoza tries to clinch up but Joshua circles away and keeps his distance. Joshua only half commits to the counter leg kick. Daniel Joshua is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cardoza is trying hard to land a takedown here. Joshua sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Joshua scores with a leg kick.
Joshua bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cardoza's head. Joshua connects with an inside leg kick. Cardoza shoots in but no luck this time. Joshua checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Cardoza with a lazy takedown attempt and Joshua counters with a straight right hand. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cardoza crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Joshua - the referee stops the clock and Cardoza gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Joshua. Cardoza manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Cardoza is breathing heavily. Cardoza with a lazy takedown attempt and Joshua counters with a good low kick that Cardoza was not able to check. Joshua buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cardoza drops his hands momentarily and Joshua takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cardoza is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Joshua lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Oh Cardoza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cardoza walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Joshua! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Daniel Joshua managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, On Tap (160Q & Laundry), into his post fight interview. Luis Cardoza spoke after the fight, saying 'I was robbed god damn it.....Jesus christ, this place is hell !!!'.
