Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Faber!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faber tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lammar swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Faber is looking to clinch.
Lammar throws a lazy right hand but Faber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lammar misses with an uppercut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Faber blocks a body shot from Lammar.
Lammar is trying to break the clinch but Faber is controlling him.
Lammar tries to circle away but Faber has him pinned against the cage.
Faber is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Lammar is looking to break free of the clinch but Faber has double underhooks.
Faber has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lammar after a bit of a struggle.
Faber scores with a nice hook to the head.
Faber looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lammar prevents a body shot from Faber.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lammar is trying to pull guard but Faber has him pressed against the cage.
Lammar blocks an uppercut.
Lammar is trying to break the clinch but Faber is controlling him.
Faber misses with some punches.
Lammar has had enough of the clinch but Faber keeps him there for the moment.
Lammar jumps guard but Faber stands there with Lammar around his waist. Lammar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Faber swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Faber keeps control of Lammar as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Lammar can't find room to land a body shot as Faber controls the action.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lammar as Faber tries to tie him up.
Lammar swings wildly with an uppercut but Faber uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lammar tries to break the clinch but Faber is controlling the position.
Faber tries to work over Lammar's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Faber turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Faber manages to end up in side control.
Lammar is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lammar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lammar tries to get out of the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lammar pushes Faber away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Faber gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Lammar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Faber on the ground.
Faber trying to control the action but Lammar is working from the bottom.

Faber is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lammar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lammar explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Faber has taken the fight to the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Faber has Lammar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lammar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Faber scores with a shoulder strike.
Faber trying to stall but Lammar improves his position.

Faber gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Faber wants to control but Lammar is keeping him busy.

Lammar tries to kick Faber off but Faber keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lammar tries to kick Faber off in order to stand up. Faber Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faber trying to control the action but Lammar is working from the bottom.
Lammar is looking for a sweep.
Faber working the ground and pound.
Lammar wants to get back to his feet.
Faber lands a nice forearm strike.
Lammar is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Lammar is not content to let Faber control the position.

Lammar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Faber wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Faber decides to stand back up.
Lammar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Faber shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lammar as he avoids it easily.
Rhysell Lammar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Faber.
Lammar's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lammar duly obliges.
Faber keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lammar.

Faber rushes Lammar and presses him up against the cage.
Faber lands a hook that snaps the head of Lammar backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Faber.
Faber struggles to land a body shot inside as Lammar controls his hands.
Lammar tries to circle away but Faber has him pinned against the cage.
Lammar is trying to break the clinch but Faber has him pressed against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Faber as the two fighters clinch.
Lammar is breathing heavily.
Faber is working Lammar over against the cage.
Faber goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lammar prevents it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Faber.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Faber dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


A combination from Lammar does no damage.
Faber tries to clinch but Lammar is having none of it.
Faber tries to close the distance and clinch but Lammar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Faber gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Lammar wants to break free but Faber has control.
Faber is pushing Lammar up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Faber lands a body punch.
Faber can't find room to land a body shot as Lammar controls the action.
Faber lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.


Lammar is rocked!
Faber lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Oh Lammar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Josh Faber seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Faber tries to score a body lock takedown but Lammar shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Faber creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Lammar's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Lammar drops to his knees and Faber pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Faber!
During a confident post fight interview, Josh Faber thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
