Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Diego Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Opel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Carlos Diego Ferreira has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Carlos Diego Ferreira seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oliver Opel! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferreira moves into range and clinches up with Opel. Opel is defending well against a takedown attempt. Opel jumps guard but Ferreira stands there with Opel around his waist. Opel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ferreira is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Opel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ferreira misses with a body kick. Ferreira leaves Opel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ferreira pushes Opel up against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ferreira goes for a takedown in the clinch but Opel prevents it.
Opel has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ferreira uses from the top position. Ferreira looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ferreira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Opel doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Ferreira trying to control the position from guard on top but Opel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferreira is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Opel is trying to control the position but Ferreira postures up. Opel is looking to stand up but Ferreira isn't so interested in that idea. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ferreira is stalling in the full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ferreira shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Opel thinks about the counter body kick. Opel fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Opel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Carlos Diego Ferreira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Opel. Ferreira has managed to clinch.
Ferreira manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Opel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferreira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Opel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferreira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Opel has managed to get both his arms back between Ferreira's legs - danger averted. Ferreira working for a triangle but Opel defends it easily.

Ferreira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Opel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ferreira is tightening it up a little... Opel has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Opel reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Opel taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ferreira!
