Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Christopher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Takashi Kadota!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kadota thuds his right hand into Christopher's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kadota cracks the inside of Christopher's front leg.
Christopher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kadota as he jumps to the side.
Kadota dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Christopher. That did some damage!
Kadota moves into range and connects with a jab.
Christopher takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Liam Christopher has been cut.
Kadota fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Christopher.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kadota.
Kadota throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Christopher's head.
Christopher moves in looking to clinch but Kadota pushes him off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kadota drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kadota scoring with some ground and pound.
Kadota postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Kadota passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kadota is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christopher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kadota tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kadota has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Christopher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kadota on the ground.

Kadota is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Christopher is rocked!
Kadota postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Christopher out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Kadota goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Takashi Kadota!
A less than humble Takashi Kadota misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
