PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Allegri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allegri comes to the cage accompanied by Con te Partiro. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Beans!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beans misses with a jab to the body
letting Allegri counter with a right hand.
Beans wants to clinch up but Allegri keeps it at a distance.
Beans fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Allegri throwing a counter right hand but Beans manages to avoid it.

Allegri shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Allegri was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Allegri stands up and beckons Beans to his feet.
Beans is looking to clinch.
Allegri throws a lazy right hand but Beans sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Beans keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Beans takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Beans takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Allegri holds on and takes a little breather.
Beans throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Allegri has his foot on Beans's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beans works his way back into a safe position though.

Beans tries to score a power double leg takedown but Allegri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beans somewhat.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlos Allegri.
Well Allegri has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
