Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Kislyak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kislyak comes to the cage accompanied by Warrior's Dance - The Prodigy. Hardy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Amazing. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kislyak as he avoids it easily. Hardy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kislyak misses the shot to the body. Hardy tries for a takedown but Kislyak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Maxim Kislyak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Hardy. Kislyak pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kislyak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kislyak pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hardy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kislyak's waist but Kislyak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hardy off to one side. Kislyak looks for the body kick but Hardy saw that one coming. Hardy feints and as Kislyak raises his hands in defense, Hardy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kislyak is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hardy trying to control the position from guard on top but Kislyak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kislyak pulls Hardy in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kislyak looking to control.
Hardy throwing strikes from guard but Kislyak blocks nicely. Kislyak wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hardy manages to pass to side control. Hardy with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kislyak wants to get back to his feet. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kislyak moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kislyak uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Maxim Kislyak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kislyak wants to clinch. Kislyak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hardy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kislyak gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hardy counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hardy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kislyak avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hardy. Hardy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hardy trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Hardy wants to free his trapped foot but Kislyak is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kislyak is trying to stand.
Hardy thows a huge punch but Kislyak dodges it nicely.
Kislyak has one foot on Hardy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Kislyak is breathing heavily. Kislyak moves in looking to clinch but Hardy pushes him off. Hardy shoots and misses and Kislyak counters with a flying knee. Nice. Kislyak with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hardy. Hardy feints and as Kislyak raises his hands in defense, Hardy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hardy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kislyak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hardy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kislyak swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kislyak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kislyak tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Hardy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kislyak moves into range and clinches up with Hardy. A knee to the head by Kislyak.
Kislyak gets underhooks to prevent Hardy's takedown attempt.

Hardy jumps into guard, dragging Kislyak to the mat.
Kislyak trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hardy's guard. Hardy wants to sweep here but Kislyak controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kislyak is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hardy has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kislyak has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kislyak wants to control but Hardy is keeping him busy. Kislyak working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kislyak misses with a takedown attempt and Hardy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kislyak's guard now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kislyak looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hardy preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kislyak keeping moving, preventing Hardy from controlling successfully. Kislyak keeping full guard, as Hardy tries to pass. Hardy throwing strikes but missing. Hardy controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hardy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kislyak swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kislyak trying to keep a closed guard but Hardy is proving a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kislyak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Hardy misses with a takedown and Kislyak counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hardy won't be happy with that. Hardy regains half guard. Hardy wants to control but Kislyak is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kislyak wants to stand up but Hardy is controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hardy can do anything to dispel that myth. Hardy trying to control but Kislyak postures up.
Kislyak is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Hardy has his hands clasped together around Kislyak's back. He's all about the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hardy actively working from the bottom here. Kislyak seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hardy works his way to full guard. Good work. Hardy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Kislyak tries to stand but Hardy is controlling from the bottom. Kislyak trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Maxim Kislyak will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy shoots in but Kislyak avoids the takedown attempt easily. Maxim Kislyak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Hardy. Hardy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kislyak swivels and escapes. Hardy fails with the takedown. Hardy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kislyak as he avoids it easily. The fighters circling - Kislyak throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kislyak tries to land a front kick but Hardy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kislyak throws out a loose jab but Hardy uses good head movement to avoid it. Hardy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hardy blocks a leg kick. Hardy shoots and misses and Kislyak counters with a head kick. Kislyak pushes Hardy up against the cage in a clinch. Hardy tightens his grip and picks Kislyak up, before dumping him to the ground. Kislyak manages to land in guard. Hardy wants to control from the top but Kislyak keeps moving. Hardy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kislyak wants to stand up but Hardy is controlling him. Hardy stays in close to Kislyak's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kislyak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hardy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kislyak looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hardy's corner is telling him to maintain position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hardy wants to control from the top but Kislyak keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Maxim Kislyak. I think Kislyak has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
