Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raecius Felix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Curtis comes to the cage accompanied by Schubert - Ave Maria. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Isaac Curtis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raecius Felix! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Curtis as he connects with a hook. Felix shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Curtis as he avoids it easily. Felix moves out of range of the strikes. Felix shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Curtis to counter with a crisp jab. Curtis is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Curtis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Curtis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Curtis clobbers Felix with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Felix closes the distance and pushes Curtis back into the cage. Felix tries for a takedown. No joy.
Isaac Curtis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raecius Felix. Curtis is trying to force a seperation but Felix has the dominant position. I was talking to Curtis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Curtis works on Felix's body with a couple of short punches. Felix is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Curtis to keep the fight standing. Felix is trying to pull guard but Curtis turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Felix. Felix wants to take the fight to the mat but Curtis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Curtis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Felix.

That's one minute gone in the round. Felix has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Curtis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Curtis lands with a left to the head. Curtis stops a takedown attempt from Felix.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Curtis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Curtis digs a right hand into Felix's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Felix's gas tank. Felix looks winded! Curtis works on Felix's body with a couple of short punches. Felix being controlled against the cage. Curtis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Curtis walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Felix drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Curtis swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Felix's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Isaac Curtis! Isaac Curtis took some time post fight to say the following; 'Felix was a brave man for signing on that dotted line, and it was unfortunate that he had to fight me. '.
