Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ganbaatar Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Ranieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Seed - Watch It Burn. Ranieri has chosen DMX - Lord give me a Sign as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ganbaatar Khan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Ranieri! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Khan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ranieri was well out of range. Poor timing from Khan. A little jabbing left from Ranieri on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Khan swats away the attempt to clinch by Ranieri. Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ranieri manages to avoid it. A jab lands there for Ranieri. Khan missing with a left hand there. Ranieri was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Khan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ranieri wants to counter the offense by Khan and move into the clinch position. Khan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ranieri moves away. Ganbaatar Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ranieri tries to clinch and Khan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ranieri walks into a stiff left hand from Khan. Ranieri darts in and clinches Khan up against the cage. Khan on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ranieri throws a big shot that misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. It seemed like Ranieri was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Khan throws a jab when Ranieri was well out of range. Khan misses with a few strikes there.

Nice shot by Ranieri. Khan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ranieri gets a clinch.

Khan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A punch combination from Ranieri misses. Khan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Ranieri fails in his attempt to clinch. Khan throws a big shot that misses. Ranieri wants to counter the offense by Khan and move into the clinch position. Ranieri turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ranieri thumps Khan with a low kick. Khan throws a lazy right hand but Ranieri sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ranieri takes a shot right to the bread basket. Khan throws an overhand right that lands on Ranieri's shoulder, as Ranieri tries to avoid the shot. Ranieri lands with a nice combination. Khan backs away looking to recover. Ranieri misses with a double jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan is looking to slow Ranieri down with leg kicks. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khan thuds a left hand into Ranieri's body. Ranieri ducks under a wild hook from Khan. Ranieri throws a big counter head kick but Khan avoids it with no problem. Khan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ranieri was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. No joy there for Ranieri, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Khan thinks about countering with a head kick. Ranieri's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ranieri duly obliges. Ranieri tries to clinch there but Khan circles away.

Ranieri throws out a powerful jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ganbaatar Khan will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Khan misses with a wild body shot. Ranieri tries to counter with a clinch but Khan shakes him off and moves away. Ranieri slips under a jab. Khan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ranieri has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Some wild striking there from Ranieri.
Ranieri misses with a leg kick and Khan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Khan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Khan throws a series of punches but Ranieri avoids them all with ease. Ranieri throws out a counter right but Khan avoids it with no problem. That's one minute gone in the round. Ranieri avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Khan misses with a double jab.

Khan throws a half hearted mid kick. Ranieri throws out a counter right but Khan avoids it with no problem. Khan throws a sloppy head kick and Ranieri counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Ranieri is looking to clinch but Khan is avoiding it.
Ranieri is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Ranieri connects with a single shot there. Ganbaatar Khan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ranieri jabs Khan right on the nose. Khan blinks but takes it well. Khan throws the kick towards the body but Ranieri avoids it. Ranieri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Nice combo by Ranieri! Oh, that's hurt him - Khan falls to the canvas and Ranieri follows him into side control.
Khan is rocked! Khan pushes Ranieri away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ranieri gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Oh Khan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ranieri advances to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ranieri with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Khan defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ranieri. Ranieri is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Khan is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Khan flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ranieri anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Khan and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ranieri slips an arm under Khan chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ranieri has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ranieri is squeezing on Khan like an anaconda would it's prey. Khan fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joe Ranieri! An out of breath Joe Ranieri thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
