Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cabaas Ashkir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Barrol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ashkir might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to HALL OF FAME. Barrol has chosen Christ Conscious as his entrance music. Tyler Barrol told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cabaas Ashkir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Barrol!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrol swats away the attempt to clinch by Ashkir.
Barrol throws a series of punches but Ashkir moves out of range.
Ashkir takes a swing at Barrol's ribcage but misses.
Ashkir shoots for a double leg takedown but Barrol sprawls well. He's pushed Ashkir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It seemed like Barrol was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ashkir throws a series of punches but Barrol moves out of range.
A little jabbing left from Barrol on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ashkir has a takedown stuffed.
Barrol let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ashkir darts in looking for a takedown but Barrol gets double underhooks and turns Ashkir into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cabaas Ashkir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ashkir goes for a double leg but Barrol avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barrol continues to drive forward.

Ashkir closes the distance looking to clinch
and Barrol counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Ashkir doesn't manage to clinch there - Barrol circles away.

Ashkir tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barrol sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ashkir somewhat.
Ashkir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barrol swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Barrol counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ashkir is rocked!

and Barrol counters with a huge right that knocks Ashkir out cold! Barrol is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tyler Barrol!
Post fight, Tyler Barrol stared into the camera and said 'These lightweights don't understand, until they get hit by me, it's a whole other ballgame when they get hit by me.'.
The defeated Cabaas Ashkir had this to say: 'congrats, deserved but I will be back'.
