Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Luigi Bates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mason Stone! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bates manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stone on his heels. He'll look to pass Stone's guard now, I'm sure. Bates thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Stone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bates defends well. Bates drops back looking for a leg! Stone is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stone manages to kick Bates off! Bates jumps back into Stone's guard. Stone being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bates trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bates thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bates sitting in guard here, content to control. Bates trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone is trying to control the position but Bates postures up. Stone is looking for a triangle but Bates pushes his legs off easily.
Bates wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving. Bates advances to half guard. Bates is taking a breather. Stone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bates is just content to waste time from the top position. Stone takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Bates sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stone's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Bates prevents Stone from improving his position. Bates trying to control the action but Stone is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bates is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stone has managed to free his arm - good work. Bates looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are battling for position here. Stone manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Bates looking to pass the guard. Stone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stone can't keep his opponent in guard - Bates advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bates is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bates is looking for a kimura but Stone is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bates to get the leverage. Bates works his foot free and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bates looking for a guillotine from mount but Stone is having none of it. Bates has hold of Stone's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stone manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bates looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Stone wants to hold on but Bates pushes him away. Bates can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stone is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone wants to hold on but Bates pushes him away. Bates trying to control but he's not successful this time. Bates looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bates looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Stone is looking to improve his position but Bates isn't that keen on the idea. Stone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bates controlling from the full mount. Bates moves to the back. Bates working for a choke but Stone is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luigi Bates dominated that round. That's time! Bates's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bates's jab looks to have found its range, popping Stone under the eye. Bates cracks Stone with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Mason Stone has been cut. Bates blocks a head kick by Stone.
Bates tries to counter with a takedown but Stone is quick to defend against it. Stone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bates throws a shot to the body.
Stone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bates shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Stone is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bates shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bates showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stone moves into full guard.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bates drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bates jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bates slips nicely into half guard. Stone is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bates's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bates's back! Stone looking to break Bates's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Bates remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Stone will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Bates trying to control the position but Stone manages to sink in the hooks. Stone working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Bates manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stone's guard. Nice work there by Bates.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bates takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bates seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Stone is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
