Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dai Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shaun Dista! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dista fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Thomas is out of range. A left and a right from Thomas both land. Nice combination. An inside leg kick from Dista misses. Thomas jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Thomas moves into range and clinches up with Dista. Thomas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dista working aggressively here.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Dista. Thomas has a couple of punches blocked by Dista.
Thomas blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas is defending well against a takedown attempt. Thomas misses with a body punch.
Dista creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Dista content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Dista tries to throw a body punch but Thomas avoids it by throwing Dista back against the cage. Dista manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Dai Thomas dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Thomas slips under a jab from Dista. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dista uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thomas.
Dista pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Dista swings and misses with a shot to the body and Thomas counters with a straight right hand. Thomas throws a leg kick which misses Dista's front leg but catches the back leg as Dista tries to avoid it. Thomas connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Dista shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thomas pinned against the cage. Thomas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dista takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Dai Thomas is winning the standup battle so far. A cross from Thomas lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas sizes up Dista with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Dista is still on wobbly legs! Can Thomas finish him? Dista swings widly with a right hand
and Thomas counters with a big right hand! Oh Dista is in trouble here! Thomas follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
