Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Donatello Bradman and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lager fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brooks tries a head kick but it misses.
Lager tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brooks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Brooks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brooks lands in his opponent's guard.

Lager looking for a guillotine here but Brooks defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brooks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lager has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brooks has managed to get both his arms back between Lager's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lager had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brooks defends it easily.

Brooks thows a huge punch but Lager dodges it nicely.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Brooks thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Brooks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brooks lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lager working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brooks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brooks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lager is looking for a triangle but Brooks pushes his legs off easily.

Lager has his foot on Brooks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brooks works his way back into a safe position though.

Lager is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Brooks rolls with it to try and escape but Lager cranks on the arm and Brooks is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
