Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nem Sis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tsunami. On his way into the cage it seems that Nem Sis has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nem Sis seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nem Sis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
42 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Maurice McDonald! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDonald buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Sis. Sis working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
McDonald being controlled for a moment. McDonald can't do much from the bottom here. McDonald is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sis happy to just control the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sis wants to control but McDonald is keeping him busy. Sis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Sis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. McDonald struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McDonald knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sis tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDonald is not content to let Sis control the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sis wants to lay and pray for a moment but McDonald keeps working. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McDonald sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sis trying to control the action but McDonald is working from the bottom. Sis controlling the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sis is trying to get an arm triangle but McDonald is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McDonald is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. McDonald is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. McDonald keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McDonald is staying active underneath Sis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Sis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sis throwing shots but McDonald is blocking nicely. Sis is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Sis is keen to just control but McDonald is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nem Sis dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Sis fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McDonald lands a nice shot to the body.

McDonald stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sis. McDonald jabs at Sis's body. Sis connects with a leg kick. McDonald looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Sis throws out a powerful jab. McDonald throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McDonald manages to avoid it. McDonald throws a leg kick but Sis moved away. Sis scores with a spinning back kick! Sis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McDonald moves away. McDonald slips under a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDonald takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Maurice McDonald has been cut. Maurice McDonald is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sis throws an overhand right that lands on McDonald's shoulder, as McDonald tries to avoid the shot. McDonald misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McDonald throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McDonald fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Sis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McDonald tries to clinch and Sis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McDonald's guard. McDonald can't keep his opponent in guard - Sis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Sis looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Sis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sis is looking to advance position but McDonald won't allow it. Sis is trying to control. McDonald wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sis missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sis misses with a head shot. McDonald uses the momentum to regain guard. Sis trying to control but McDonald is working from the bottom. McDonald utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sis with a flurry of punches that miss. Sis working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. McDonald keeping moving, preventing Sis from controlling successfully. Sis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McDonald can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald is looking to stand up but Sis isn't so interested in that idea. Sis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sis wants to control from the top but McDonald keeps moving. Nem Sis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McDonald is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Sis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sis throwing strikes but missing. McDonald keeping moving, preventing Sis from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sis thuds a left hand into McDonald's body. Sis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McDonald throws a poor cross that misses
and Sis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McDonald works Sis's body with a nice hook. McDonald pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McDonald throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sis. As McDonald tries to get set, Sis tries to push him back and clinch up but McDonald manages to avoid the attempt. McDonald tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sis was well out of range. Poor timing from McDonald. A big left from Sis misses. A nice side step and McDonald releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Sis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McDonald's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nem Sis dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Maurice McDonald's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Sis pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Sis lands with a kick to the temple. McDonald shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" McDonald fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sis manages to avoid it. Sis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McDonald misses with an uppercut. Sis is looking to counter punch. Maurice McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sis avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Sis scores with a leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from McDonald. Sis does a little dance to reset his feet. Sis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. McDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sis slows the pace down in half guard. Sis thows a huge punch but McDonald dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sis is looking for a kimura but McDonald is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sis to get the leverage. Sis trying to control from half guard but McDonald is working away. Sis slows the pace down in half guard. Sis is trying to control the action in half guard but McDonald is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sis is nestled in close to McDonald, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McDonald's head. Sis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McDonald does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nem Sis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Sis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McDonald has managed to free his arm - good work. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sis in particular looking to stall. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. McDonald trying to control but Sis postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sis tries a head kick but it misses.
Sis throws a nice looking combination but McDonald bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McDonald takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sis.

Sis takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. McDonald misses with a looping right. Maurice McDonald has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McDonald throws a body shot but no joy. Sis appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Sis shoots in looking for a takedown. McDonald tries to sprawl out of it but Sis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McDonald manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McDonald throws a leg kick but Sis sees it coming and moves out of range. Sis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McDonald has time to react. Sis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McDonald as he jumps to the side. McDonald let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. McDonald lands a lovely overhand right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDonald bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A jab from McDonald misses. Sis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Sis checks a leg kick. Sis connects with an inside leg kick. Sis moves into range and clinches up with McDonald. McDonald lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sis tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McDonald's elbow. A head punch blocked on the inside by Sis. Sis misses with a short punch on the inside. McDonald is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Sis goes for a takedown attempt but McDonald pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nem Sis. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDonald swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McDonald takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that's the end of the fight! Nem Sis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
