Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William McDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Agatupu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agatupu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "How Bizarre" by OMC kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ian Agatupu struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ian Agatupu looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William McDougal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ian Agatupu! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDougal rushes Agatupu and presses him up against the cage. Agatupu looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Agatupu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Agatupu stops a takedown attempt from McDougal.
Agatupu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McDougal is leaning against Agatupu and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. McDougal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Agatupu avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Agatupu's face as he tries to break the clinch. McDougal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDougal is pushing Agatupu up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. McDougal is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Agatupu is defending well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William McDougal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Agatupu is trying to push McDougal away but McDougal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. McDougal slows down the pace here.
McDougal tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Agatupu avoids it. McDougal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McDougal throws a body kick that misses. Agatupu throws out a counter right but McDougal avoids it with no problem. McDougal has managed to clinch.

McDougal tries for a takedown but Agatupu manages to get underhooks.
McDougal is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Agatupu is defending well for now. McDougal has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Agatupu is trying to keep an underhook but McDougal manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDougal not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McDougal seems to be working for a kimura but Agatupu defends the submission attempt. McDougal is controlling the pace.
McDougal slips a nice elbow through Agatupu's hands, connecting with Agatupu's forehead. McDougal looks to score some points with some ground and pound. McDougal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! McDougal takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDougal missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McDougal landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. McDougal seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Agatupu is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). William McDougal! In defeat, Ian Agatupu stepped up to the mic, saying 'You think that was bizarre, just wait until my next fight!'.
