Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Nitschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson has chosen Death to the apple gerls as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Charles Bronson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
36 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Nitschke! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
40 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Bronson! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nitschke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bronson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bronson looks to throw the jab but Nitschke is out of range. Bronson scores with a jab.
It looks like Damian Nitschke has been cut. Nitschke moves into the clinch successfully.
Nitschke works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Nitschke throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Nitschke prevents a body shot from Bronson. Bronson tries to circle away but Nitschke has him pinned against the cage. A short uppercut from Nitschke. Nitschke wants a takedown.
Nitschke goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Nitschke has Bronson pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right hand to the body from Bronson.
Nitschke blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Nitschke lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bronson backwards. Bronson looks to throw an elbow but misses. Nitschke misses with a shot to the kidneys.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nitschke's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Nitschke stalling.
Nitschke will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bronson up against the cage. Nitschke tries to throw a body punch but Bronson avoids it by throwing Nitschke back against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Nitschke. Nitschke changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bronson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bronson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nitschke's head backwards. Bronson throws the left hand but Nitschke avoids the punch easily. Bronson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Nitschke checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Bronson tries to land a front kick but Nitschke steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Damian Nitschke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nitschke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bronson.
Bronson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nitschke. Bronson throws out a counter right but Nitschke avoids it with no problem. Nitschke throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nitschke connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bronson. Bronson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Bronson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nitschke uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bronson. Nitschke throws a head kick that Bronson semi-blocks.
Nitschke moves into range and clinches up with Bronson. Bronson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bronson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nitschke's head. Nitschke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bronson cracks Nitschke with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A slow jab from Bronson misses its intended target. Nitschke throws a lazy head kick and Bronson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Nitschke connects with a crisp jab. Nitschke scores with a punch to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Nitschke. Bronson throws a body kick that misses. Nitschke checks the leg kick. Bronson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nitschke. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bronson.
Nitschke gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Nitschke pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bronson throws a lazy right hand but Nitschke sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bronson lunges at Nitschke with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Nitschke's hand. Nitschke blocks a low kick nicely. Bronson moves away from the strike by Nitschke. Bronson misses with a kick to the body.
Bronson avoids a kick to the body.
Charles Bronson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nitschke misses with the body kick and Bronson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bronson catches Nitschke with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nitschke is rocked! Bronson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Nitschke right on the button. Nitschke goes down! Bronson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Bronson gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Bronson! Charles Bronson is the new welterweight champion! Jumping up and down and very excited, Charles Bronson waved his t-shirt featuring Tokyo United Fightwear 's logo in front of the cameras. In defeat, Damian Nitschke stepped up to the mic, saying 'He was a tough opponent and was the better man tonight. Best of luck to him in his future fights.'.
