Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soda Popinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Orsini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orsini has chosen Era as his entrance music. Soda Popinsky could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gabriel Orsini's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soda Popinsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gabriel Orsini! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popinsky goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Popinsky fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Orsini sprawls well initially but Popinsky persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Orsini gets full guard. Popinsky tries to free his leg and advance position but Orsini is retaining full guard. Orsini has momentary wrist control but Popinsky slips an elbow through the middle. Orsini keeping full guard, as Popinsky tries to pass. Popinsky is looking to stand up but Orsini won't let him. Orsini has his foot on Popinsky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Popinsky works his way back into a safe position though. Popinsky drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Popinsky jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Orsini avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Orsini should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Popinsky passes Orsini's left leg - he's now in half guard. Popinsky wants to free his trapped foot but Orsini is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orsini is defending against the submission attempts here by Popinsky.
Popinsky works his way into full mount! Popinsky is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Orsini can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Popinsky sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Orsini working to try and regain half guard.
Popinsky will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Popinsky goes for an armbar but Orsini turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Orsini. Popinsky wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Orsini manages to pass to side control. Popinsky is breathing heavily. Orsini prevents Popinsky from improving his position. Orsini is trying to control the action in half guard but Popinsky is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orsini seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Popinsky gets back to full guard.
Popinsky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Popinsky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Orsini gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Orsini won't allow Popinsky to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Orsini passes easily into side control. Nice work. Popinsky tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Orsini wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Orsini tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Orsini is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Popinsky sneaks out the side door and pushes Orsini away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Popinsky lands with a slapping head kick. Popinsky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Soda Popinsky dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Popinsky tries to bum rush Orsini with a series of wild strikes but Orsini uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Popinsky plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Orsini stuffs the takedown. Popinsky lands a brutal head kick. Orsini looks out on his feet and Popinsky throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Soda Popinsky!
