Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Gamma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miesha Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charlie Gamma! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Miesha Tate! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gamma connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Miesha Tate has been cut. Tate has his takedown stuffed and Gamma counters with a series of strikes. Tate will be more careful next time no doubt. Tate has his takedown stuffed and Gamma counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tate shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gamma pinned against the cage. Gamma gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Charlie Gamma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miesha Tate. Gamma waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Tate. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Tate to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Tate is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Gamma drops back looking for a leg! Tate is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tate manages to kick Gamma off! Gamma jumps back into Tate's guard. Tate is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gamma might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gamma wants to control from the top but Tate keeps moving. Tate escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gamma gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tate throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Tate keeping full guard, as Gamma tries to pass. Tate is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gamma defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gamma wants to pass the guard but Tate is keeping the position. Gamma sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tate's guard. Gamma definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Gamma is working for a kimura but Tate is defending it quite comfortably.
Tate is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gamma wants to control but Tate is keeping him busy. Gamma is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tate is refusing to be controlled, as Gamma sits in half guard. Gamma wants to work for an arm triangle but Tate is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tate is not content to let Gamma control the position. Tate actively working from the bottom here. Tate has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Bear's Den. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Gamma is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gamma is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tate doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gamma. Gamma is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tate! Tate sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Tate is defending against the submission attempts here by Gamma.
Tate wants to improve his position but Gamma is controlling well.
Gamma is looking for a kimura but Tate is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gamma to get the leverage. Gamma prevents Tate from improving his position. Gamma looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Gamma dominated that round. The cut man is working on Miesha Tate's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Tate will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice takedown defense from Gamma. No joy for Tate on that attempt. Tate closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gamma circles away. Charlie Gamma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miesha Tate. A lazy left from Gamma finds it's target. Gamma misses the jab. Tate drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tate is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gamma is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tate is aware though and is defending well. Gamma is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gamma working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tate manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tate postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gamma has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tate can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tate got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gamma has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tate has managed to get both his arms back between Gamma's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tate is pushing down on Gamma's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gamma is fighting to maintain full guard but Tate has managed to sneak the leg through. Tate seems to be working for a kimura but Gamma defends the submission attempt. Gamma looking for submissions off his back. Gamma is defending against the submission attempts here by Tate.
