Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia comes into the arena with Better Off Dead - Death From Above 1979 blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Rizzo! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Garcia crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rizzo - the referee stops the clock and Garcia gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rizzo. Garcia manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Rizzo swings away with a leg kick that misses. Garcia is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rizzo. Rizzo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Rizzo swings away with a leg kick that misses. As Rizzo tries to get set, Garcia tries to push him back and clinch up but Rizzo manages to avoid the attempt. Rizzo misses with a wild body shot. A low kick from Rizzo misses and Garcia moves into the clinch. Garcia definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Garcia has Rizzo pressed against the cage, preventing Rizzo from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Rizzo misses with a knee strike.
Garcia content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Rizzo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Garcia jumps guard and drags Rizzo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia has Rizzo pulled in close to control his posture. Rizzo wants to get up but he can't break Garcia's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Garcia is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzo is looking to control Garcia's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rizzo avoid being mounted? Rizzo is defending against the submission attempts here by Garcia.
Rizzo wants to control but Garcia is keeping busy.
Garcia takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Rizzo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Garcia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Garcia seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rizzo is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
