The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernard moves in looking to clinch but Blanchard pushes him off.
Blanchard moves into range and clinches up with Bernard.
Bernard wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Blanchard has him pressed against the cage.
Blanchard jumps guard.
Bernard being controlled here momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bernard gets to his feet. Blanchard looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Bernard really is a fat lump.
Blanchard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Blanchard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bernard struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blanchard decides to stand back up.
Bernard just misses with a punch to the body.
Bernard feints and as Blanchard raises his hands in defense, Bernard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bernard stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Blanchard rushes Bernard and presses him up against the cage.
Bernard is trying to push Blanchard away but Blanchard has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bernard has picked Blanchard up - he's going for a ride! Bernard dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Blanchard makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Bernard gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blanchard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bernard looking for a triangle here. Blanchard is fighting it but it looks tight! Bernard pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Blanchard is tapping out - this one is all over!
