Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between willie maykit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Olof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olof is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I am a poor lonesome cowboy. John Olof told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, willie maykit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Olof!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olof uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
maykit tries to keep at a distance but Olof has taken the fight into the clinch.
Olof pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Olof misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
maykit clobbers Olof with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Olof gets the takedown into side control.
maykit tries to buck Olof off but Olof is having none of it.
maykit is trying to control Olof's posture but Olof avoids it.
Olof trying to control the position but maykit is working away.
Olof working the ground and pound but maykit is defending the strikes.
Olof wants to stand but maykit is controlling his arm.

maykit is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Olof is pressing down on maykit's thigh, looking to free his foot. maykit is holding on for now.
Olof not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Olof clinches.
Olof breaks the clinch.
Olof has managed to clinch.
Olof pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

maykit with a flurry of punches that miss.
maykit won't allow Olof to get back to his feet.
maykit avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Olof wants to stand but maykit is controlling the position.
maykit sitting in guard here, content to control.

Olof is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
maykit really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
maykit misses with a body kick.
Olof throws a series of punches but maykit avoids them all with ease.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Olof moves into range and connects with a jab.
maykit ducks under a wild hook from Olof.
Olof swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Olof throws a series of punches but maykit moves out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Olof.
maykit is rocked!
Olof fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. maykit looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oh maykit is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A combination from Olof does no damage.
maykit seems to have got his legs back now.
Olof avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
maykit bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Olof tries to clinch up but maykit circles away and keeps his distance.
Olof wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Olof lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
maykit gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Olof.
Olof misses with an uppercut. maykit saw that one coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Olof dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Olof throws a nice looking combination but maykit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Olof misses with a body shot.
maykit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Olof tries to avoid it but maykit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Olof to the ground. Olof escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Olof counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Olof clinches with his opponent.
Olof manages to break the clinch.
Olof closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming maykit to the mat! maykit manages to get full guard.
maykit seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
maykit lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Olof!
Olof tries to hold on but maykit postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

You get the feeling that Olof really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Olof tries to get back to half guard but can't.
maykit looking to control but Olof is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Olof can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
maykit trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Olof is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Olof sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Olof wants to get back to full guard.
maykit stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Olof is trying to stand up here but maykit is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Olof is looking for a sweep. maykit is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
maykit is trying to control the action in half guard but Olof is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
maykit is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Olof is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
maykit prevents Olof from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Olof gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Olof escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Olof throws a combination but it was largely blocked by maykit.
Olof will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A jab from Olof misses.
Olof circles away from the clinch attempt.
Olof tries to clinch but maykit moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Olof rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but maykit moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
maykit shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Olof pinned against the cage. Olof gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for willie maykit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Olof, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Olof showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Olof scores with a one two! maykit had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
maykit seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Olof shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! maykit is backing up but Olof catches him with a final right hook that drops him! maykit covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Olof Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
