Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Pederson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kanye Torham!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pederson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pederson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Pederson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Torham does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Torham is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torham is still trying to improve position.
Pederson prevents Torham from standing back up.

Torham has hold of Pederson's hands but Pederson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pederson trying to control the pace.
Pederson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pederson is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pederson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Pederson trying to pass the guard but Torham defending well.
Pederson wants to control but Torham is keeping him busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pederson throws a right hand that Torham ducks under and follows up with a left that Torham also avoids with ease.
Pederson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Torham doesn't seem bothered though.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Come on Pederson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Torham looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Torham jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pederson walks away with a smile on his face. Torham gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pederson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Torham wants to stall.
Pederson tries to pull guard but Torham forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Pederson jumps into guard, dragging Torham to the mat.
Torham trying to control the position from guard on top but Pederson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pederson kicks Torham off and gets to his feet.
Torham goes for a double leg but Pederson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pederson continues to drive forward.
Torham misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pederson scores with a head kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Pederson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Torham looks winded!
Pederson dives in for a single leg takedown but Torham sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Torham stuffs the takedown attempt from Pederson. Pederson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Norman Pederson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Torham tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pederson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pederson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Pederson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Pederson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pederson stands up and beckons Torham to join him on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Norman Pederson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Torham shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pederson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Torham is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Pederson dives into side control.

You can see the frustration on Torham's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Torham might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pederson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Pederson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Torham can do to turn this around?
Pederson wants to control but Torham is keeping him busy.

Torham looking for a sweep but Pederson has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Torham wants to hold on but Pederson pushes him away.

Torham is trying desperately to improve position.
Pederson controlling the pace for now.
Pederson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Pederson avoids the attempt from Torham to control.
Pederson looking to control and managing it successfully.

Pederson stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pederson clinches up with Torham and pushes him back against the cage.
Torham gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pederson.
Torham is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Pederson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pederson slaps away a takedown attempt from Torham, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pederson stalks Torham and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Torham's face. Torham staggers backwards, shaken.

Pederson moves into the clinch successfully.

Pederson drops Torham with a big knee straight up the middle! Torham is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Torham is rocked!
Pederson has been working on his balance at Death Valley Training Facility, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Torham.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pederson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Torham falls backwards - clearly groggy! Pederson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Norman Pederson!
Our winner, Norman Pederson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
