Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Del Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Del Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank White!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
White swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kent.


It looks like Del Kent has been cut.
White throws a series of punches but Kent avoids them all with ease.
Kent is looking for a counter combo.
White throws a right hand that Kent ducks under and follows up with a left that Kent also avoids with ease.
Kent blocks the body kick.
White misses the shot to the body.

White is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kent's half guard.
Kent trying to control here.
Kent looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kent is not content to let White control the position.
White trying to control the pace.

Kent has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. White is working away from the top position though.

White looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kent is avoiding damage well.
Kent seems a little lost for a moment, as White dominates the positioning.
Kent is trying to get back to half guard.

White working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White decides to take the fight back to the feet.

White closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kent did well to prevent White getting side control.

Kent really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kent is looking for a sweep. White is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

White looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that White has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
White prevents Kent from standing back up.
White throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with White in particular looking to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kent tries to kick White off but White keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank White dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Del Kent's cut.
That's time! Kent's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


White tries to work over Kent's front leg with a kick but Kent checks it.

White drives through and clinches with Kent against the cage.
White is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Kent escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Del Kent is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kent slips a jab and a cross from White.
White misses with a leg kick

and Kent counters with a nice double leg into side control. White won't be happy with that.

White throws Kent to one side and escapes!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
White misses with the combination.
Kent closes the distance and clinches up with White, looking for a takedown. Kent pushes White against the cage but White circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
White scores with a nice right hand.

Kent shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches White napping and manages to drive through into side control!

White sneaks out the side door and pushes Kent away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
White has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kent is landing a low percentage of strikes.

White drives through with a takedown into Kent's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kent can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as White controls the pace.
Kent bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard.

White utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kent is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
White wants to get back to his feet but Kent is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kent drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but White manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kent has White in his guard.

Kent lands an upkick as White stands over him.

White decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kent, up you get!
No luck for Kent with that takedown attempt.
White scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
White swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kent counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
White wants to stand back up but Kent manages to pass into side control.
White is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kent cracks White with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Kent controls the position from side control.
White wants to get back to his feet but Kent is dominant here and he's now got White's back!
White prevents Kent from getting a body triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Del Kent's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Kent tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. White manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kent moves out of range of the body kick from White.
White misses with the combination.
A clash of legs there as Kent blocks the low kick.
Kent is trying hard to land a takedown here. White sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kent makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kent.
White is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

White gets to his feet. Kent looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kent walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kent avoids a punch combination nicely.
Frank White seems to be getting the better of the standup.
White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kent takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

White rushes Kent and presses him up against the cage.
Kent fails to pull guard.

White breaks from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
White throws a series of punches but Kent avoids them all with ease.
Kent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. White tries to avoid it but Kent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag White to the ground. White escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Del Kent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kent takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Kent is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

White has Kent up against the cage in a clinch.
Kent tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. White just stands there and leans against the cage.
White has had enough of the clinch but Kent keeps him there for the moment.

Kent pulls guard.
White content to stall in guard here.

White is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kent is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst White is controlling him.
White looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
White must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kent dodges the punch combination from White.
White throws a wild body kick that Kent sees coming a mile off.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
White is trying to push Kent away but Kent has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
White is trying to break free.
White wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kent pulls guard successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
White looking to sit in guard and control but Kent gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kent is stalling in the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frank White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well White has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
