Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Zimbardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Kina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kina has chosen Savages by Theory of a Deadman as his entrance music. Mike Kina told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruce Zimbardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Kina!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Zimbardo. Beautiful body shot.
Kina fails with the takedown
and Zimbardo counters with a series of strikes. Kina will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kina fails with a takedown attempt.
Kina changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zimbardo tries to avoid it but Kina manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zimbardo to the ground. Zimbardo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bruce Zimbardo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Kina.
Zimbardo misses with a head kick.
Zimbardo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kina has his takedown stuffed
and Zimbardo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Zimbardo blocks a head kick by Kina.
Zimbardo lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Zimbardo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Zimbardo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kina moves to clinch but Zimbardo breaks away
and Zimbardo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kina tries for a takedown but Zimbardo circles away easily
and Zimbardo counters with a solid body kick.
Kina looks winded!
Nice body kick there by Zimbardo.
Kina moves to clinch but Zimbardo breaks away
and Zimbardo counters with a stiff right hand.
Bruce Zimbardo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kina misses with a takedown
and Zimbardo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kina shoots and misses
and Zimbardo counters with an inside leg kick.
Zimbardo cracks Kina with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheers as Zimbardo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kina doesn't seem phased though.
Mike Kina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kina tries to clinch up
and Zimbardo counters with an inside leg kick.
Zimbardo connects with a high kick.
Kina throws a head kick that misses
and Zimbardo makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kina really felt that one!
Zimbardo lands a glancing blow to the side of Kina's head.
Nice sprawl there from Zimbardo as Kina shoots in.
Zimbardo fakes the leg kick and cracks Kina in the body.
Zimbardo thows a body kick. Kina tries to catch it but that hurt him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zimbardo goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Mike Kina has been cut.
Zimbardo lands a jab to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kina takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kina throws a head kick that misses
letting Zimbardo counter with a right hand.
Zimbardo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kina.
Kina is rocked!
Kina with a lazy takedown attempt
and Zimbardo counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Kina out cold! What a finish! Zimbardo is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bruce Zimbardo!
