Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tarik Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samart Payakaroon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payakaroon leaves Black with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Payakaroon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Black has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Black walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Tarik Black has been cut.
Black shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Payakaroon as he jumps to the side.
Payakaroon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Black takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Payakaroon cracks the inside of Black's front leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Black takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Black is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Payakaroon Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Black is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Samart Payakaroon!
